The Slimpa company represents the productive pole of the “electrical control package” for elevators, distributed by Kone all over the world. CASSIOLI has designed and deployed the new assembly, testing and shipment line. The whole system also includes an automated warehouse. The plant has a storing capacity of 118 bays. The purpose of this warehouse is to separate assembly and testing activities of electrical panels from integration activities. In fact, due to different work contents and differents cycle times, integration was the bottleneck of the old, unoptimized manufacturing process.
